Questions
FAQs
Can I book if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Unfortunately not — semi-permanent makeup isn't carried out during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. I'd love to see you once you've finished breastfeeding.
What is semi-permanent makeup?
Pigment is placed just beneath the surface of the skin to enhance your brows, lips or lash line. It gives you a soft, natural look that lasts — so you can wake up with your make up already done.
How long does it last?
Results fade gradually over 12–18 months, depending on your skin and lifestyle. A top-up keeps the colour fresh — see the top-up prices.
Is the 6–12 week top-up included?
Your first top-up, 6–12 weeks after your treatment, is an essential part of the treatment — it's when your colour and shape are perfected. It's priced separately: brows £50, lip blush £75, eyeliner £50.
Which brow treatment is right for me?
Hairstroke brows are fine individual strokes that mimic real hair — the most natural finish, best on normal to dry skin.
Combination brows add a soft shade behind the strokes — more defined and longer lasting, and better for oily skin or sparse brows.
Microblading is not suitable for clients with oily skin.
Not sure? Send me a message, or a photo on Instagram, and I'll help you choose.
How long does the appointment take?
Allow 2–3 hours. Every treatment starts with a consultation, where we talk through the look you want and the treatment that suits you best.
What will it look like while it heals?
For the first few days it will look bolder and darker than you expected — this is not the final result. Light flaking follows, then the colour softens and can look patchy for a couple of weeks. Your true colour settles at around 6 weeks. See the full aftercare and healing timeline.
I get cold sores — can I have lip blush?
Yes, but if you've ever had cold sores, take antiviral medication for 5 days before your appointment.
I've had botox or filler — is that OK?
Please leave 2–4 weeks between botox or filler near the area and your appointment.
Is it safe?
I'm fully insured and licensed for semi-permanent makeup, and I use single-use, sterile needles every single time.
Where are you and how do I book?
I work from Phoenix Beauty in Maidstone, The Derma Clinic in Canterbury and my studio in Harrietsham. Choose your clinic to book, or send me a booking request.
